About Wrestling

Wrestling is an individual sport in which two men compete on a wrestling mat, trying to pin the other's shoulders to the mat. Each match is fought between athletes of the same weight and relative size, in a controlled environment with rules, regulations, and refereeing. There are three rounds, each 2 minutes long. An athlete scores points by taking his opponent down, or exposing his opponent's back to the mat. The athlete who pins their opponent's shoulders to the mat wins the match, however, matches can be won by the person who has the most points if time runs out.

Wrestling is a physically and mentally demanding sport. It requires conditioning, stamina, agility, strength, and strategy: In other words, it requires everything that you have. Please explore this site to find out more on the Nashoba-Clinton Wrestling team.
